Ffos Las chairman Dai Walters will present a cheque for 100,000 to Injured Jockeys Fund chief executive Lisa Hancock on December 16 to help aid the care of JT McNamara.

Racegoers at the Welsh venue raised the cash last month for McNamara, who was paralysed in a fall at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

“We’re set for two great days of jump racing this Christmas – and it is wonderful that, through the generosity of our supporters, we are able to give 100,000 for the continuing care of JT McNamara, who was paralysed as a result of a fall at this year’s Cheltenham Festival,” said clerk of the course Tim Long.
