More worthless information. Check any day’s program at Beulah or Fonner. You’ll find Derby winners on both sides of bottom level claimers who can’t handle six furlongs.

Rogers is just another of these so-called pedigree experts whose only talent is convincing others that they actually know something.

    Watcher,

Thanks for taking the time to post a comment. True, every day you do see horses that are average horses with well related pedigrees but that is not what we are trying to do here. What we are trying to show you is horses that are already class horses and have pedigree depth to them to see if they can go the distance of the Kentucky Derby.

Rule ran a good race off a fast pace and probably with a more patient ride might have fought it out. Interestingly the winner of the Florida Derby gr. I, Ice Box, was a mating we (Pedigree Consultants) recommended for clients of Jamie LaMonica’s. Jamie is pretty happy with the result. We also had a Gr I winner on the weekend in Australia in Alverta, Devil May Care came back and won the Gr II Bonnie Miss in America for clients Diamond A Farm and Chinchon won a Gr III race in Europe. No doubt we are lucky to have some great clients to work with.

I agree Rule’s pedigree is interesting with the Funny Cide connection, but Funny Cide was a curious case of a horse that got good at just the right time to capture both the Derby and Preakness. IMHO, the key for Rule will be whether or not he is peaking come May 1. He will be worth strong consideration if he shows an affinity for the CD surface in his works once he gets to Louisville.
