Indian Charlie filly fastest at OBS on Friday

A filly by Indian Charlie, hip No. 213, consigned by Old South Farm, agent, zipped an eighth in :9 4/5 to post the fastest work at the distance at the second and final session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2012 March Sale of Selected 2-Year-Olds in Training on Friday. The bay filly is out of Winter Forest, by Forestry, a full sister to stakes winner Ever Elusive.

The session’s quickest quarter was turned in by a pair of youngsters, each stopping the timer in :20 4/5. Hip No. 208 is a filly by Pomeroy consigned by Eddie Woods, agent. The bay filly is out of Willie Brook, by Montbrook, and is a half-sister to stakes-placed Peachy Kiss. Hip No. 298, a chestnut colt by Read the Footnotes consigned by Southern Chase Farm, Inc. (Greg and Karen Dodd), agent, is out of Dixie Talent, by Dixie Union, a half-sister to graded stakes winner No Giveaway.

Hip No. 299, a colt by Half Ours consigned by Parrish Farms, agent, sped a quarter in :21 flat. The gray or roan colt is out of Double Bling, by Double Honor, a half-sister to stakes winner Time to Pass.

The March Sale is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, March 13th and 14th with each session beginning at 11 a.m. The OBS Day of Champions Races will be run on Monday, March 12th, with first post time at 1:00 p.m.
