    Hi Joel,

What the devil is going on with CC owners thinking he can run at Ascot? Does AK come to mind, and he has turf breeding.

IMO Bad decision, I don’t think he will run in the BC this year.
I listened to Sherman and how the events unfolded, boy what a slap in the face IMO.

Joel, I have a gut feeling CC won’t be coming home. Next stop Japan.
Just wondering what your feelings are about the subject.

    Hey JR!

First of all, I want to let everyone know that we launched a new home for TCI on TripleCrownInsider.com last week. It was supposed to remain on OneFastHorse until people became familiar with the new website, but do to a bad oversight we realized it never got posted until today. Our apologies, but we hope people like the NEW website going forward!

I could not agree with you more, JR. Bad bad move IMO, and I feel bad for Art Sherman and the horse. He’ll be lucky to finish well enough to maintain dignity, and I hope the Europeans don’t lose respect for him because he is a good horse. However, we all have our place, our distance, our surfaces, etc…that is not his place or surface. I also felt the Dubai World Cup showed that CC isn’t as good at 1 1/4 miles as he is at 1 1/8 miles IMO. His Derby was one of his slowest races, and I felt he had every chance to win the BC Classic last fall when he took dead aim at Bayern and Toast of New York, yet could not go by. We’ll see later this year in the BC Classic, but he sure looks flat beyond 9 panels…or I hope we’ll see..I hope you’re wrong about him going to Japan, but that is an interesting theory. I do think Japan is a place he could definitely end up at stud.

    Best, my friend!

It’s here down at the bottom where it says “Start the discussion”. The new Comment sections going forward will look like this:

I always was suspicious of why Far From Over missed a work around the beginning of March, and believe that’s why he missed the Gotham, despite them not wanting to be public about the cause. His issues then may have been different than his hind leg injury, but it’s just unfortunate that we’ve had our second major defection now after the news on Texas Red. But when he missed that work and skipped the Gotham his stock began to sink in my eyes, which is a shame because he had such a great style and overall profile for the Classics.

Looking forward to chatting with you and everyone else on the NEW site! We’re shooting tomorrow morning so hopefully the show will be out tomorrow evening. Keeneland this weekend!

    All the best!
